Connect with old and new recovering friends before the sessions start

Session 1: 10:00-10:50AM EDT
What blocks me from exploring the joys of recovery? What habits, behaviors or actions do I use to avoid relationships or intimacy with others? Do I have a chronic pattern of isolation? Am I avoiding vulnerability at all costs? Am I willing to accept that control does not always equal safety? Do I know how to have fun? Am I engaging in top line behaviors? This session explores top line behaviors and how our disease wants us to avoid them.

Session 2: 11:00-11:50AM EDT
Learning to love myself and to love others by loving Higher Power first. In Step 11 our Basic Text talks about learning to walk through each day with the sense of being hand-in-hand with H.P. as a spring of love seemed to flow from within. “Thus we came to find intimacy with ourselves, intimacy with God, and the intimacy with others.” (Step 11 page 101) What is your experience with learning to love H.P., yourself and others? This session discusses how developing a loving relationship with our Higher Power can help us to learn to love ourselves and others.

Session 3: 12:00-12:50PM EDT
Preparing for new beginnings and watching our recovery grow. Am I living a new positive, unfolding life? Am I finding it easier to make better choices for myself? Am I unafraid of honesty and openness with others? Am I noticing that I have more dignity of self? Do I accept my own imperfections and mistakes as part of being human? This session explores the signs of recovery for each of us – as individuals – and encourages us to celebrate our progress on the path of recovery.

Gratitude Meeting / Closing 1:00-1:30PM EDT
Close out the Spring gathering with gratitude for fellowship and our recovery.
