To ensure a feeling of safety and trust participants will be expected to refrain from acting out during the weekend. This session is about breaking our isolation in S.L.A.A. \n1:45 pm Shame and Guilt – Prior deeds and passions\, or missed opportunities can lead to guilt and shame.  The 12-steps are a way to restore dignity of self.  This session is about recognizing our powerlessness and healing our past. \n3:00 pm Higher Power – How do we find that Higher Power that restores us to sanity?  What can we do to improve our conscious contact?  Steps 2\, 3\, 5\, 6\, 7\, and 11 refer to our Higher Power.  This session is about the role of our Higher Power in our lives. \nThis event is hybrid in person/Zoom and we need volunteers.\nWe need in person and on zoom speakers and meeting leader! If you have\nworked on the Steps in this type of format before\, you already know its value.  If you have not done any study of the Steps\, intensive or otherwise\, this is a great way to do it\, especially the first time. Regardless of where we are in the Step study process\, we can learn from sharing our experience\, strength and hope with each other. \nS.L.A.A. literature we will use for this weekend:\nFor this weekend we will use the new booklet The Twelve Steps of S.L.A.A. in Plain Language. If you need a copy for the weekend\, you can order one in\nadvance\, on the registration form attached. \nSchedule: Group arrival starts Friday afternoon at 4:00PM. The weekend is concluded on Sunday in time for a 12:30pm lunch (which is provided).
