The Annual Business Meeting (ABM) takes place in Framingham, MA from Tues., July 25, 2017 through Fri., July 28, 2017 at the Sheraton in Framingham, MA. Each year at the ABM, the S.L.A.A. Fellowship holds a business meeting to review finances, to elect the Board of Trustees, and to discuss and vote on new literature, bylaws, and other items.
Bring Your Group’s Vote on ABM Discussion Items and Motions to NEI’s July 9, 2017 Meeting
At New England Intergroup’s July 9th, meeting, Intergroup will discuss items currently due to be discussed at the July 2017 ABM in Framingham. The ABM Agenda Items discussion will take place from 4:00-5:30PM (prior to regular NEI meeting from 5:30-7:00PM). Be sure to vote about each item at your group’s business meeting, and send your group representative and/or alternative group representative to the July 9th NEI meeting to share your group’s conscience. Volunteers Needed at ABM
The Local Planning Committee (LPC) for the S.L.A.A. Annual Business Meeting (ABM) is looking for volunteers to help support the ABM which will be held in the Boston area, at the Framingham Sheraton Hotel from July 25 through July 28, 2017. The LPC is looking for about 15 volunteers starting on Monday, July 24th through Friday July 28th mid-afternoon at various times throughout the day from early morning through late evening. NEI will be
responsible for providing volunteers at the event including staffing the hospitality suite, organizing and facilitating a bus trip for all the ABM delegates to go to the original Founder’s Meeting Tuesday night in Newton, MA, etc. Volunteers will be needed in the following areas:
- Assistance with setting-up S.L.A.A. literature at the Fellowship-Wide Services store, unpacking, lifting boxes, etc.
- Administrative help at ABM registration table.
- Coverage of the hospitality suite–including opening room during ABM meeting down times, making coffee, ensuring snacks and drinks are stocked (coverage needed throughout the day from early morning to late evening).
- Assistance with Thursday night’s S.L.A.A. Fellowship-Wide Services auction
